How do I know if an item is available for Same Day Pickup?
While shopping, select "Check Store Availability" to see if your item is available at your preferred store. During checkout, each item will display if the individual item is available for Same Day Pickup. Orders are typically ready within 2 hours. Please note that not all items are available for Same Day Pickup, nor is the service available in all stores.
When will my order be ready?
Orders are typically ready within 2 hours. For Same Day Pickup, your order must be submitted by 3pm local time. Orders placed after 3pm local time, may not be available until the next business day. Please wait for a "Ready For Pickup" email before heading to the store.
When should I come to the store to pick up my order?
We will tell you when it's time to pick up your order! Orders are typically ready within 2 hours. When your order is ready for pickup, you will receive a "Ready For Pickup" email and text (if you have elected to receive this notification). This email will give you the in-store location to pick up your order.
What do I need to bring to the store in order to pick up my items?
You'll be required to show a store associate a valid driver's license or ID, the credit card used for the transaction and the order number in order to pick up your items. If someone else is picking up your order, please see the next question.
Can someone else pick up my order for me?
You can pick up your order yourself or designate an alternate pickup person. If someone else will be picking up your order, you must designate him/her as an alternate pickup person when ordering. The alternate pickup person will receive a "Ready For Pickup" email, which will include instructions for picking up your items. You'll need to provide the pickup person's name and email address. Your pickup person will need to show his/her valid driver's license or ID and the order number at the store. Only you or the person you've designated can pick up your items.
Where do I pick up my order?
Pickup location varies by store. Your "Ready For Pickup" email will give you the in-store location for your Same Day Pickup order.
How long will the store hold my order?
We'll gladly hold your order for 10 days, starting the day your order was processed. If the items are not picked up by that date, we will cancel the order and credit the transaction amount to your original method of payment. If you need us to hold your order longer than 10 days, please contact the store to arrange for a time extension.
When will I be charged?
We'll charge your card once your order is processed.
Can I select to pick up certain items and have others shipped?
Once you've chosen a store, you'll go through our regular online checkout process to purchase your items. Your order can contain items to be picked up, items that are shipping to you, items that are being shipped to someone else as a gift or a combination of these.
How do I return an item?
We hope you are completely satisfied with your order; however, if you would like to return any items from your order, just bring the item(s) and your order confirmation email to any store location. Please see our return policy for more details.
Can I cancel my order?
We hope that you are completely satisfied with your order, but if you need to cancel your order, please call the store. Please note that your order will begin processing immediately after order placement and it may not be possible to cancel the order until your order is ready for pickup. If you need to cancel immediately after you've placed your order, please call JCPenney Customer Care at 1.800.322.1189.
Can I get a price adjustment if the price is lower in the store?
If your product is available at a lower price in the store, you may request a price adjustment at time of pickup. Some exclusions apply.
Some products offered on jcp.com are available for Same Day Pickup in JCPenney stores. Not all items are available for this service nor is the service available in all JCPenney stores. For Same Day PIckup, your order must be submitted by 3pm local time and the item must be available at the JCPenney store you selected. Your card will be charged at the time your order is processed. If someone else will be picking up your order, you must designate him/her as an alternate pickup person when ordering.
You will be notified via email when your order is ready for pickup or if an item is unavailable at that store. If an item is unavailable, that item will be canceled from your order. The ready for pickup email will include instructions for picking up your item(s). Your order will be available for pickup only during normal store operating hours and only for orders confirmed via email. Most items will be ready within four business hours of the time the order is placed.
When picking up your order, you must bring your order number, the card used to make the purchase and a valid driver's license or ID. A designated alternate pickup person will need to bring the order number and a valid driver's license or ID.
JCPenney will hold your items for 10 days starting the day your order was processed by JCPenney. If your order is not picked up within 10 days, we will cancel the order and credit the transaction amount to your original method of payment.
JCPenney reserves the right to limit the quantity of items ordered for Same Day Pickup as well as the days of the year that the service is offered.
Order Online, Pick Up In Store with Same Day Pickup at JCPenney
The days of waiting several days to receive your eagerly anticipated merchandise are over. Enjoy same day in-store pickup for many of our items including apparel, accessories, and much more. Here's how you can stop waiting and start receiving immediately:
1. Check and see if the item can be found in a convenient store location near you.
2. If the item is available at your preferred store, select the "same day pickup" option during checkout.
3. Once you've successfully checked out, wait until you receive an email saying your order is ready for pickup.
4. Head down to the pickup location to receive your order. Don't forget to bring your valid driver's license or ID as well as the credit card used to pay for the order.
